The cells are strongly flattened, the widest in the middle with a sharp posterior and rounded with a small indentation anteriorly. The rough side is more curved than the abdomen. The left half bears a massively different (about 10 µm) massive tooth with a thin wing. The shell is covered with numerous pores (poroids) and places with delicate spines. Two large yellow plate chromatophores.
